 Biography: Formal

Atlanta based artist, Brenden Lewis, is best known for using strong shapes to create memories of people and places with an air of magic realism. As an avid fan of creation in general, Brenden employs a wide variety of mediums and techniques; his favorite of which is altering sections of a painting only to decide he liked it better the first way. Similarly he is influenced by everything from tattoos, to street art, to architecture, to geography. Because of this, his work falls into several categories aesthetically and thematically but with one overarching purpose: to make art less intimidating and more accessible to those outside less familiar with art.

Biography: What I’d Rather Say

Hi, my name is Brenden. I used to be really scattered and pursue a variety of subjects in school while being heavily involved with sports. In college I got REALLY involved with art, and I realized I need to be creating things in order to find feel fulfilled. Now I find focus in, working with teams on large scale projects as well creating works that come out better than what people originally asked of me. I derive a lot of happiness from delivering beyond what people ask of me.

My career experience includes: illustrator on the television show “Archer,” muralist, sign painter, regularly commissioned artist, and instructor.
